wow, that is one scary looking bridge. i just crossed a few here in ecuador that had me a little freaked out but i think that one tops them all.

Hmm, I have no idea what's up with your blogger photos! Valle Elqui looks pretty, I'll have to check it out before we leave Chile...

Looks like you guys had fun! and in other news, it's been forever. We need to hang out soon.

Kathleen, the funny thing is my friend Christopher tore across it on his bicycle when he was a boy (the bridge was in better condition then), and he'd just made it to the other side and the bike got stuck in a wire and he flew over the handle bars, and luckily landed on land, rather than the rocky river bottom.

Kyle, Yeah, Valle Elqui is worth the trip. The landscape reminded me of Colorado actually, but much more remote. It's not nearly as populated as Colorado. Apparently if you continue over to Argentina, there are some awesome hot springs there that are pretty cheap and all inclusive.

And I totally agree we need to hang out soon. It's been forever.

i loved valle del elqui when i went ... did you fly there? were tix cheapo?
i have the same probs as you do with photos...like it just gives oyu this weird left right or middle option but then like when you put one left and one right sometimes they just overlap...if you figure it out, could you write a little how-to post about it? : )
