Has anybody found a lesson plan that helps your Spanish speaking students stop using "a personal"? I have a couple students who use the article "a" prolifically in front of people's names. While this is normal in Spanish, it's not in English. I'll probably just end up looking up the rules to using "a personal" in Spanish and then unteaching them to my students. But thought I'd ask any of you if you've found (internet) material on this.

I've never had that problem before. Most of my students were very advanced. Could you creat some sentences or stories that they have to read and add on to and then reinforce the fact that a person's name is without an "a" in front?
I'd never noticed the addition of the "a personal" before. Just recently I realized that's what my student's trying to do.
That's a good idea though. Maybe I'll try to remember what they are saying when they want to put the "a" before the person, and do what you said, but those situations in a reading or something.
